Two stylish DecoSplash designs were the perfect addition to this minimalist, Scandi-themed home renovation.
Homeowners Chris and Jess chose to renovate their home in a Scandi-themed, minimalist style, full of timber textures, white and concrete. The only thing missing? A pop of colour to add a piece de resistance to their stylish new-look kitchen and laundry.
Seeking a splashback that would stand out from the traditional glass and acrylic splashbacks, the design-savvy couple turned to alternative products and designs to find a conversation piece for their kitchen, which doubled as an entertaining area, as well as a calming, inspirational design to complement the black and white colour scheme of their laundry.
DecoSplash, with its ability to replicate a wide range of designs on powder coated solid aluminium, was the perfect choice for the project. The couple were able to install their splashbacks themselves, a process they found both quick and inexpensive, especially as they did not need to purchase specialised tools to complete the installation. With no grout to deal with, the Roches also found the installation mess-free.
The couple chose the ‘Beach Stones’ (DSP-H203-01) design for their laundry splashback. This inspirational natural piece paired well with their black and white laundry, while also creating a visually appealing feature that livened up the room.
The kitchen, which was designed to bring aspects of the outdoors indoors for an inviting entertaining area, features a custom splashback with a grey background and a vibrant green plant design, which adds a pop of colour to the minimalist kitchen, while still teaming with its overall style.
Chris and Jess were particularly impressed with the ease of cleaning their DecoSplash splashbacks provided – marks being cleaned off easily with just a damp cloth and pH neutral detergent was an especially pleasing feature for the couple.
With not one but two snazzy, low-maintenance splashbacks on display, their DecoSplash pieces are proving popular with their friends, who have admitted when visiting that they are getting splashback envy!
